In order to tell the story of the past nine months, it might help to hire an archaeologist to dig
deep into my scrap box. From top to bottom would be the remains of numerous projects
in reverse chronological order.

Starting at the top are cutoffs from two cabinets that I just delivered to Boston for a show at the Society of Arts and Crafts on Newbury Street. I am honored to be one of three recipients of the Society's biennial Artist Award.

Digging deeper toward the bottom would be much evidence of a beautiful desk commission from the late Winter months.

The only things that would not be discovered in the dig, would be evidence of publications and shows where my work has been featured. Three of my cabinets were included in a publication by Lark Books titled 500 Cabinets.Yew and Me, So Sweet, Bow-Front Cabinet. The book can be seen and ordered at Amazon [click here].

The most recent issue of Fine Woodworking Magazine ( #214) features an article on a veneer appliqué technique I have been exploring in recent years.

Exhibits this year include Out Of The Woods at the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, Vermont, and Through The Looking Glass at Pritam and Eames. I have also continued to exhibit at the SOFA shows with William Zimmer Gallery. This year I attended Palm Beach, Santa Fe and New York, where my cabinet Blonde On Blonde was featured in the show catalog.

That's all for now. I'm hoping to find a museum for my archaeological artifacts, but in the meantime, I'll keep my hands busy and pile up the scraps.
